Handlebars

Handlebars was founded in July 2019 by Jeyda Heselton with initial support from her former employer, JustPark. Handlebars accesses underutilised space in areas of high cycling traffic and sets up modern bicycle repair workshops, powered by smart tech and expertly trained mechanics, ultimately giving cyclists a convenient and seamless experience.

Associate David Rawlence first starting working with Jeyda Heselton, the co-founder of Handlebars, in the summer of 2019 on Handlebars’ first site in Monument. Thereafter Boodle Hatfield has continued to advise Handlebars throughout their expansion to four sites (with more in the pipeline).

Jeyda Heselton, Handlebars CEO says ‘This is the golden era of cycling. As a mode of travel, it’s socially distanced, environmentally-friendly, cost-effective, and it reduces congestion and promotes active, healthy lifestyles. Since COVID-19 hit, it’s become clear that the popularity of cycling is the new norm but the industry faces some tricky challenges right now.’

‘It’s been a pleasure to work on our expansion with David, who goes above and beyond to understand what we’re trying to achieve commercially and as a result offers extremely sound legal advice on an array of matters.’ ‘I like to do business with people and firms I can trust and having worked with David from Boodle Hatfield for a number of years now, I know I’m working with lawyers who get the job done efficiently and easily.’
